Taking a closer look at LHC

Xabier Cid Vidal, is PhD in experimental Particle Physics for Santiago University (USC). From 2007 to 2012 he took part in the LHCb collaboration at CERN with the USC-University of Santiago’s group. From Jan 2013 to December 2015 he was Research Fellow in experimental Particle Physics at CERN. He was until 2022 linked to the Department of Particle Physics of the USC as a "Juan de La Cierva", "Ramon y Cajal" fellow (Spanish Postdoctoral Senior Grants), and Associate Professor. Since 2023 is Senior Lecturer in that Department. (ORCID).

Ramon Cid Manzano was until 2020 secondary school Physics Teacher at IES de SAR (Santiago - Spain), and part-time Lecturer (Profesor Asociado) in Faculty of Education at the University of Santiago (Spain). He has a Degree in Physics and in Chemistry, and is PhD for Santiago University (USC). Participant in 2003 in CERN HST Programme. He has carried out from 2008 to 2020 a good number of visits to CERN with secondary school students (ORCID).
